Carla Valente

Carla Valente serves as a Social Security Case Manager at Pickford Law, where she assists clients in navigating the Social Security disability process and supports the attorney in managing cases from start to finish. With a strong foundation in public service and over 17 years of experience with the Social Security Administration, Carla brings a depth of knowledge and insight that is invaluable to both clients and the firm.

During her tenure with the Social Security Administration, Carla served as a Technical Expert, providing guidance and support to local field offices. She also had the unique opportunity to work at the U.S. Embassy in Portugal, where she assisted U.S. citizens living abroad. These experiences have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of complex systems and a global perspective on client service.

Throughout her career, Carla has remained committed to one core mission: helping people understand complicated processes and ensuring they are treated fairly. She approaches every client interaction with professionalism, patience, and a genuine dedication to service.

Carla holds an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s degree from Kean University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration, with an anticipated graduation in June 2026. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Carla is able to connect with and assist clients from diverse backgrounds.

Carla currently resides in North Carolina with her husband and two children. Though she proudly calls New Jersey home at heart, her commitment to family, community, and service remains at the center of both her personal and professional life.
